Our Alacrity Specialty Auto Solutions (SAS) Training Department has finalized our 2023 Heavy Equipment/Recreational Vehicles (HE/RV) Training Certification program and dates. Our offering includes two (2) distinct programs to allow appraisers to select the path best suited for their HE/RV experience and become Alacrity Solutions certified to complete HE/RV assignments:
Program One: Test Out
Program Two: Virtual Classroom
We will open registration for our June Test Out Program and both Virtual Classroom sessions on Monday, May 15. Our September Test Out registration will open August 14. Our links to register are found on Alacrity (PDA) Central:
Please find a high-level overview of each program to assist in selecting the appropriate course and time that works best for your skillset and schedule:
Program One | Test Out Program – this is a self-study program designed for appraisers with a strong knowledge and history of successfully completing heavy equipment estimating. Applicants will complete a pre-qualification application to determine eligibility and selection for this program:
- June 19 – 30
- Pre-Qualification Application opens 05/15 – 05/26
- Evaluate applicants and inform of acceptance 05/30 – 06/06

- September 18 – 29
- Pre-Qualification Application opens 08/14 – 08/28
- Evaluate applicants and inform of acceptance 09/01 – 09/11

- Recommended Self-Study Test Out Syllabus:
- Day 1 – Day 3 | Complete TrakStar AdjustRite Pre-Work – Nine (9) Modules
- Day 3 – Day 7 | Complete one (1) RV & one (1) HE Exercise
- Day 8 | Exercises Reviewed by Alacrity SAS
- Day 9 | Four (4) hour debrief with Training | Alacrity Best Practices and Integration with Q&A
- Day 9 – 10 | Successfully complete the TrakStar Post Exam
Program Two | Virtual Classroom Program – designed for an appraiser with a solid estimating foundation and successfully attaining core performance expectations. Applicants will register for this program allowing leadership to review and advise of acceptance:
- August 21- September 01 | 15 students
- Registration closes July 14
- October 23 – November 03 | 15 students
- Registration closes September 15
- Virtual Syllabus:
We will conduct a check-in meeting with the students one (1) month prior to class to convey expectations and address questions. Pre-work must be completed prior to class and includes TrakStar HE/RV and AdjustRite courses. AdjustRite credentials will be provided with a practice exercise assigned prior to class. Training will provide a recommended syllabus for success to assist our students with scheduling the prework. Class will be conducted in four (4) hour increments over a two (2) week period: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Tuesday & Thursday. The specific time for the daily classes will be decided once registration is finalized and a review of the applicable time zones for those students completed.

- Exercise #2 – Apply Core Concepts | Minor Repair of RV
- Exercise #3 – Apply Core Concepts | Minor Repair of Tractor
- Homework Exercise #4 – Medium Repair of RV
- Day 4 | Tuesday (4 hours):
- Total Loss Best Practices | Additional Steps
- Determining ACV (Book and Market Comparable)
- Securing Salvage Quotes | COPART, IAA and Soliciting via AdjustRite or email/calls
- Required Forms
